I really can't recommend that BLENDER FROM ZERO training highly enough as a way to quickly get up to speed.
It’s absolutely terrific! So many little gotchas coming from C4D explained in a quick and clear way.
I really appreciate short and focused chapters.

Absolutely brilliant class! …I haven't found any other blender tutorial that has been as clear as this one. It teaches you to develop a fast workflow which not every tutorial includes.
Thanks Matt, great stuff!

Matt is a great teacher. It shows that he is passionate about 3d and has vast knowledge in blender. I loved that he showed all of the intricacies of his workflow. It was a bit fast for me at times, so I had to pause the videos a lot to go back and watch again. But it helped me to actually learn everything and not just to follow instructions, so I didn't mind. Thank you Matt :)

This class is an amazing intro to 3D modelling. …gave me the confidence to do the exercise as shown, but also to take it a step further … This is such an amazing starting point. Can't wait to "dive in" the next exercise in the series!

Wow, Amazing! Matt Lloyd was really detailed in explaining and giving examples. The organization of lessons was also perfect, not too long and each part had a title. I also like the yellow square hint for indicating which part he was referring to. Hope he will make another great tutorial like this. Thanks!

This is a really good introduction into learning how to use Blender. It covers a lot of different areas
Amazing class and I learnt a huge amount. All the steps were very well explained and I really enjoyed creating my final project. Also want to say a big thank you as I'd mentioned in my project I'd struggled to use a script font, and Matt created a whole extra lesson on how to do it! This is an excellent introduction to Blender and I'm looking forward to taking more of Matt's classes in the future.

Modules
Settings
Make it easier to harness some of Blender's enormous power:
Optimize settings for a more user-friendly experience.
We’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, ensuring you’ll be able to follow along as smoothly as possible.
Blockout
The initial stage of 3d creation is super-rough and simple:
Use the most basic shapes to suggest the overall silhouette of your model.
Learn how quickly and intuitively you can create 3d forms using simple tools
Curves
Create 3d objects from simple lines and curves.
Learn to manipulate mathematical curves and lines.
For those of you who have used Photoshop or 2d graphics software, this will make sense very quickly.
Lattice Modifier
Blender’s modifier toolset holds formidable power:
Learn how to use the lattice: one of the most versatile ways to squash and stretch your models in a wonderfully organic way.
Freehand 3D drawing
Scribble 3d objects into existence!
What could be easier than pen and paper?
Nested among the curve tools is the Draw tool, which enables you to create geometry in the most intuitive way possible, just like drawing with a pen.
Knife Tool
We cover the basics of this powerful editing tool.
Learn the versatile Knife tool: cut complex new seams or slice right through your models to radically reshape them
BoolTool
A fantastic time-saver
Booleans are an indispensable tool in the 3d artist’s toolkit. Learn the most essential technique: using one object to cut chunks out of another.
Sculpting
Welcome to the wonderful world of digital clay!
Here we can change the resolution of our simple, blocky geometry in order to be able to add truly organic details and deformation, like a sculptor can with clay.
Materials
Bring colour and texture to your models
We keep things very simple and add basic materials to the character, and also teach you how to conveniently store you materials for re-use, as well as copy materials from one object to another.
Lighting & Render
Prepare to produce a polished, final image
Lighting is absolutely crucial for creating an appealing final image (aka render): poor lighting can make even a stellar model look terrible, and make a terrible model look great! In this module we walk through the process of creating one of the classic set-ups: three point lighting, and then we hit the render button to output an image.
